Goodbye, Cruel World
The proponents of DST list a few benefits but I seldom see dollar values. As an opponent, I am interested in estimates of the various costs associated with DST. For instance, I estimate the economic value of US residents changing personal clocks, etc. twice a year to be $2,000,000,000 assuming 100,000,000 persons spending 15 minutes each spring and fall at an average wage of $20/hr but with double time since the changes are made when it is most inconvenient.
Looks like we may be in it for the long haul as far as these gas prices going up. Someone said it is better to fill up early in the morning as the liquid isn't heated up and expanded as much, so you get more in your tank. Don't know if it is really true though. Anyone have any good ideas?

More specifically, is ARM architecture itself responsible for ARM based CPUs consuming less power, or are x86 based CPUs (for mobile devices) more power hungry only because nobody (Intel and others) has made them power saving yet?So is the architecutre (ISA etc) itself responsible for power saving, or is there some other reason?
