Ask a Question

I believe that most people in this life have questions for God. (those that believe in Him that is, of course) I believe when we go to heaven, we will know, even as we are known. 1Cor 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. So, all our questions will be answered immediately then. I mean if you could ask Him now and get the answer.

I think it should only be used when all methods of discipline have failed in children. It is indeed a negative thing as are all other forms of physical punishment. In some cultures it is a common tool for teaching discipline. OK BillyS, I asked your question.
My daughter went on a sleepover, she called me and breathlessly said, "Mom, mom I just rode my bike into a tree and cut my head, don't worry I don't need stitches. I replied, 'Oh sweetie that is wonderful. Make sure you call me before you go to bed. Why was that my reply?

who wanted to rid herself of her infant child. My question is this: knowing how horrible the foster care system is (it is in Phila and NJ anyway!) and how difficult and/or expensive the state makes it for anyone to adopt a child, if you were friendly with this woman, would you take her child into your home and raise her as your own? Would you fear the possible ramifications from friends and family, or the possibility of mom wanting the child back..... even though legal paperwork could prevent that from happening? How many of us would save the life of that child, or any child in similar circumstances, if we were given the opportunity?
His behavior changed when my friend married his Dad 2 months ago. Most of the times he just stands there or gives a very convoluted answer. This behavior is the same with both parents. He is an A student and has no similar problems at school. He is generally emotionless, hardly ever smiles but is never overtly rude, mean or deceiving. My friend feels exasperated and confused by this behavior.I sense an emotional conflict of sorts. I had some ideas for my friend but would be thankful to hear more. Thanks in advance. Sheis starting to feel as if she is responsible and feels rejected in some ways.
