The lost mountains of iowa are inhabited by rare deer. Patches of grass are far apart in this land. If a deer find a fresh patch of grass and spends "h" hours grazing it, it gets the square root of "h" units of grass. The deer compete for grass. Where there are "n" deer, it takes a deer "n^2" mins to find a fresh patch. A deer can survive if it gets 1 unit of grass every 200 mins. a. Find the average cost in time of a unit of grass if a deer gets "y" units of grass from each patch.b. How much time will an efficient deer spend in each patch where there are "n" deer? (Hint: Minimize average cost.)c. Since there is free entry into the deer business, the equilibrim population is the maximum number of efficient deer who can survive. How many is this?

Hello everyone. On May 4th 2007 @ 8:00 P.M. (it was literally only 2 hours ago it was on), I saw a show on the travel channel called "America's Favorite Haunted Places" (did anyone else see it). I am really into haunted stuff like that. Anyway, I just visited the website www.travelchannel.com and saw that they would be playing it again later tonight. One problem, though. My recording device (camcorder) that I use for recording shows is currently full and I cannot edit the footage on there now. Basically, I am out of luck in terms of recording the show. My question is, is there any way that I can get a "heads up" as to when that show will come on again or maybe there is a DVD with that show on it? ANY help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I heard that on the Web you can find and download sound files which act like drugs by interfeering with your brain waves. They can be adictive and do a lot of damage or so did the newspaper article I read said. Is it true? Or, is it a myth.

Everyone who answered my question said that if drugs were legal they STILL would not try them. Everyone knew about the dangers of addiction and everyone feared for their health. There were two answers that said something about marijuana, but NO ONE mentioned that they would be interested in trying harder, deadlier drugs like crack and herion. So, why don't we just make drugs legal? We could stop spending tax money on locking up drug offenders and the effort to keep the drugs out of our country.
