Are you FOR or AGAINST the $700 billion bailout?

SULLY:

Against. No, I will not explain. ;-)

________________________:

I honestly don't know enough about the details to make that kind of decision. I hope our lawmakers know what the heck they're doing, though.

Jims best angle:

They have not demonstrated much competence, which is the scary point.

Bewitched:

Thank You

Jims best angle:

Based on the limited information I have on it. As it stands right now I am not for it.
After the congressional earmarks are added by the scum in Washington DC I will be in even less favor of it.

Wpkcallaway:

I agree

Dimview09:

Defiantly no bailouts, just read opinions about the 29 crash the government may very well have caused the crash.

2 Cents:

You know what? I am against it totally, and those rich bankers should make up the slack themselves. There's no excuse for what they did, and there's no good reason we (the US citizens) should have to pay them AGAIN. We have already contracted to buy a house or car or whatever, so why should we have to pay it all over again? 700,000,000... If we all paid 'our share' we couldn't do it anyway. What a mess.

2 Cents:

Besides that, that's 2 million a person. theres only 300,000 plus people in the US.

Bewitched:

What's gonna happen if we don't?

Career_dave:

against also

Dimview09:

Absolutely against!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call and tell your congressman it is making an impact.

Jims best angle:

Aren't they monitoring QnA. I thought Washington always checked here before voting on a Bill
LOL

Bewitched:

I'm not against it. I fear what would happen as a result of taking no action.

Dimview09:

Blixa this didn't happen in one week it has been coming for years, it doesn't need ICU attention. The market will correct itself and if adjustments are needed we can steer at that time. But we need accountability to stabilize confidence in our markets not throwing our money that we don't even have yet at a problem we didn't cause.

Tambo:

If there is one fault with the bailout bill, it is the speed with which this is being hurried through congress. Where did this 700 Billion Dollar figure come from? Why is it so urgent? The only way I could agree with a bailout of any sort, is if it was used for the sole purpose of guaranteeing account balances for customers. The investors and business executives that created this mess can wallow in their own financial ruin for all I care. Why should we shell out tax money to help pay for some CEO's country club dues. It seems like the same type of situation that the airline bailout created.

Shally:

Although I am not a US citizen the financial stability or should I say instability of the US has a significant impact over this side of the pond. If my government came up with this nonsense idea I would be completely against it. Greed is the reason that Lehman and all the other financial institutions are in this situation playing with people's money and their lives. Banks cannot predict the future so why they are hellbent on believing they can by throwing money at lost causes is beyond me. Bail them out today and live with the consequence as nothing will be learnt and a precedent will be set for the next time. Don't tax payers give enough. Good Q Take Care

LlLLlANSLlLLlES:

No to the bailout. The insiders in these corporations took thousands of shares of free stock options and cashed them in and took the money out of the companies. The downfall of these companies was caused by the greed of the insiders. The FBI should thoroughly investigate this and no taxpayer money should be used to bail them out. Let them give back the money they virtually stole from the company treasuries and they should all be fired for mismanagement. They should probably all be locked up for this fraud.

Bewitched:

They are currently investigating for fraud. I would like to see all of these executives in a chain gang. However, what happens if we don't bail out these companies?

Susan:

I AM AGAINST IT,...........BECAUSE I DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY'RE SAYING THAT IT'S FOR.AND TAXPAYERS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR WHAT THE RICH CEOS' HAVE DONE HERE,,,KEEP BAILING OUT WRONG DOERS,THEY DON'T EVER LEARN FROM THEIR WRONG DOING.
