Do you agree that the recruiters for the Armed Forces have to be in of the most demanding jobs?

Given many young men and women in the economic status of today may be lead towards a military career, but still with all the wars it would seem recruiters would have a tough go getting to sell it to many nowadays..opinions?
Agave:

Your in my prayers and Thank you for representing us all...:)

Battaglia:

Thanks hon...means alot to me. I have mixed emotions right now..can't wait to do it but I probably will breakdown at some point...will have to soldier up again...

Rettag:

I don't think so - the military is offering BIG incentives to kids these days so if they have someone in their recruiters office, chances are they WANT to be there for one reason or another and the Recruiter doesn't have to work TOO hard to get the kid to sign the papers...

Rettag:

Bless you tomorrow - my thoughts will be with you....be strong, and thanks again

Battaglia:

Thanks Boots...They didn't have to do a big sell to me when I walked in..honor and a sense of duty was enough. But I know some recruiters still who say many want to get away from home and don't wan to sling burgers for a living..and many wash out as they finally see that war is very emminent now these days for many...So basically all have wasted time and money.....(As a side note, the wreath on our buddies grave will have a ice cream sandwich affixed on it)...;)

Battaglia:

Oh and thanks for the well wishes..;)

Rettag:

OMG, you just made my day Paul......how fitting for RUFUS - an ice cream sandwich! too special....

Rettag:

please take pictures for us...

Battaglia:

Yeah I designed it..;) has a bite out of it!! The florist thought the idea was cool...

Battaglia:

Pictures of course...

At times it can be very demanding but it comes with the territory.... KT's nephew is a recruiter and he said business is booming...Some days he has a hard time getting the paper work done there are so many applications be processed:)

Rettag:

with the economy the way it is - kids are turning to the military for a job!

Battaglia:

Very true and I agree, but how many of our youth are doing it for the right reasons and not to just have a job....Still glad many are enlisting, beats the draft which might force some to try and run...

Leeroy Jenkins:

No, I'm ex-Military. Know what the most demanding is? Sanitation work. Could you imagine what would happen if there was no one to come and remove your trash? Do you know what would happen? It would pile up, attract vermin, become a petri dish for disease. Then, people would get sick, and when enough people get sick, and maybe start dying, the whole social network, and infrastructure grinds to a halt. Just think about that for a few minutes.

Battaglia:

Ex-military myself(glad you served) and yes I see the plight of them also...hard job indeed, I saw the trash in Manhattan last week along the sidewalk and wondered how hard those poor guys work..thanks!
